About Us
Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare provides inpatient care for acutely mentally ill adults from southeastern Ohio.

Information For Family Members and Visitors
Admission
Local mental health centers refer patients to Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare by determining whether someone meets criteria for admission. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide service for direct admission or "walk-ins." Please contact your local mental health center for assistance.
Services provided
Services include evaluations, intensive psychiatric care, recovery, psychiatry, psychology, social services, patient education, occupational and recreational therapy and work evaluation. In addition, our community support network programs provide services to clients and their families residing in the community.
Family and Visitors
Family and friends are welcomed to visit their loved ones but may not bring these items with them: alcoholic beverages, cans and glass items, tools, any medication, tobacco products, controlled substances, cameras, lethal weapons, tape recorders, CB radios and scanners, sharps, lighters or matches.
Visiting Hours
Daily 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
